    Windows 8.1 Update 1 is available at TechNet now..

    Recommended Install Order

    6. KB2949621

    I installed the updates on my main PC yesterday, being able to pin Metro apps is handy, and everything feels more responsive.

    Download now or wait until Tuesday.
