Help me push my 4870x2 Overclock :D

When i open top drop down box it says exactly the same as it does now?

What settings do you have in CCC?

I bench with:

"3D" Settings:

Standard Settings => Tick "Use Custom Settings"
Anti-Aliasing => Tick "Use Application Settings"
Adaptive Anti-Aliasing => Leave un ticked
Anisotropic Filtering => "Use Application Settings"
Catalyst A.I. => "Standard" (Slider to the Left)
Mipmap Detail Level => "Performance" (Slider to the Left)

Then on

ATI Overdrive

Make sure you overclock each core by using the drop down menu and set the GPU and Memory clocks for each of the cores the same:



So select the top box -> Adjust your OC then apply
Select the second box -> Adjust your OC (as the top one) then apply

What is your RAM at (Speed)?

Also do you also have Rivatuner or any other OC tools running at the same time ?

Right i had only 1 core clocked....adjusted the settings same as yours....gonna give it another whirl.
Dunno wot my ram is at speed????

Load up CPUZ and goto "Memory" tab



What is under "DRAM Frequency" ?

Above mine shows 533 as it is DDR2 memory 533x2 = 1066MHz

mine says 400mhz with a 1.1....5-5-5-18.

Out of interest I just ran @ 3.6 and Stock GFX 750 / 900 and got:



Regarding teh RAM mine is rated at 800 MHz (like yours) but I can get 1066 by upping it in BIOS - Give it a whirl :P

Sorry but im going i7 soon with possibly another 4870x2 on a second loop with a third rad..... so better get the hankeys out m8.

Hopefully when I have reformatted tonite I should be able to run 3d mark 06 again (not been able to since i had the Q6600)I will run a benchmark on the same clocks you had 3.6 cpu and gpu's 800/1000 then we can see whats better a 4870x2 or 2 4870's in crossfire. Im hoping to get over 20k as i was scoring 19800 with an E8400

nice one - i wouldn't be surprised if the two single cards took it TBH

It would also be interesting to see how they perform with the res and / or AA AF etc ramped up

you put the res up and the 4870x2 will trounce the 2 512mb cards. 2gb v 1gb.
I mean who uses 1280x1024 anyway?.........1680x1050 is the most common res....22" screens.
