A-a-a Lloyd, consoles are great, because you dont have to buy upgrades (such as a new graphic's card, etc.) unlike with the PC's you deffinetly have to buy a new one in 2 - 3 years.

consoles arent that good...they cant play games like crysis. And as the games get better they struggle to play them and you end up with a console and about £1,000 worth of games sitting in your loft like i have gathering dust Then they bring out another console for £400 and the process starts all over again......ps1 and ps2 ring a bell?
The x-box is really struggling at the moment and theres been talk of a ps4.
We just change our graphics cards and hey presto.

Well that strengthen my argument I like upgrading my PC

Upgrades aren't the sole domain of the PC, how many PS's have there been now? You have to upgrade if u want to play the latest game, same with PCs

So you're saying thats is better to upgrade or buy a new PC in every 2 years for araund 2500+??
And not to mention that each month new games come out and that the PC you've bought like 2 moths ago isnt strong enough to run it, and that's where consoles kick in.

u only really need to upgrade the GFX card, around £200 every 2 years or so. And ya get top notch graphics - i was FAR from impressed with the PS3 gfx quality

I still have my 2 year old 8800gts/512mb in jackamos rig and its still going strong....plays all the latest games and still plays crysis on high settings.
My pc will last for a lot more than 2 years as i went for i7 just for that very reason...so i dont have to upgrade.
Dont understand why you joined a pc site to slag off pcs.....i dont go on console forums and tell them that they are playing with shite?

Well i personally think the gfx on a ps3 are better (i own one) especially on a High Def tv which i have.

The only let down is i cant play FPS games with a controller. And the online play is not so good.

Yes i was a bit confused by that comment aswell....ive seen x-box games on big tvs and they look animated and sort of drawn if you know wot i mean?
pc With all the shadows and lighting sometimes looks real like in crysis etc.

Edit....i think it also looks sharper on a monitor....Dot pitch is much more on a monitor and gives a sharper picture.

    8800GTX

    Faster, better!
And when u see these TVs with a PS3 running, do u see a PC plugged into one next to compare.... not likely

i'm not talking speed or power. You cant compare them like that, PC's need to be more powerful as it has to run windows and other apps in the background while playing a game.
