i want to upgrade my RAM as 4GB does not cut the mustard any more.
I don't have a budget but was thinking 12GB Tri Channel DDR3 or even 24GB
Would 24GB be over kill for gaming? bearing in mind i dont want to have to buy more ram for a few years!

Anything more than 6gb and you are wasting your money m8.....you wont notice a difference at all....and if your into overclocking it's actually detrimental to the cause as it is harder to get a stable clock......this is for tri channel ddr3 for x58 1366 mobos of course.
i7 4770k 4.6ghz/Z-87 MSI G45 / X2 GTX770 Amp SLI / 16gb corsair vengeance/ X-fi Titanium soundcard/ Galaxy 1000 watt psu/250gb Samsung ssd/Crucial 128gb ssd /Level 10 GT case/27" Qnix LPS 2560x1440 Monitor / Ideazon stealth gaming keyboard/ Rat 7 MMO/windows 7 x64 Pro. Huge penis and testicles.
i think ill play it safe and go for 12GB. it might be abit overkill for gaming but i do alot of photo & video editing + CAD design which should use its potential.
cheers m8
