    Default H50-1 and Snow...

Ah with all the snow around lately it was just too tempting to do this, so I finally got up to it and was quite surprised with the temperatures.

Managed 23c on my Q66 on all 4 cores which I thought was pretty decent - considering I wrapped the h50-1 in snow and used 2 120mms for wind chill.

    Check it out...

Did you think about condensation? Could have killed your motherboard! lol

What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways?

What I'd like is a vapochill style waterchiller - that would be great, like a Vapochill LS or something. I'd buy that
Maybe a project for LEC when I get everything sorted

What do you think to those Corsair water coolers?

I have a H50 and find it keeps my Q6600 @ 4gz load temp 40c on a push pull setup.

Was acctually very impressed with it.

They're ok - I've sold mine and gone for an aircooler but it was quite good - not sure IMO if its worth it though I prefer to go for just air or all out water rather than half way with the h50.

Thought i'd test it to see the hype though. .

I love my H50, as my upcoming build will be balls-out gaming I'll be throwing down an H-70 but lets face it, if you need LCS for 1:just your processor and 2: for cooling only, not looks then you really cannot beat them, a lot more efficient than air coolers, take up the same space AND increase airflow through the PC by not having a massive lump sat ontop of the CPU.

I know of quite a few air coolers which can outperform the H50, H60 and H70, the Noctua NH D14 is one of them, although it's only a few degrees lower and is completely massive with 2 fans installed. I would rather go custom for anything like that, unless it wasn't my main rig.
