    My son wants x3 screens for crimbo and i need some advice please.

    He has a asus P5K p35 mobo

    asus gtx 460 top 768mb oc

    Quad core 9450

    I was gonna add another gtx 460 but the mobo wont support sli so i am looking at eyefinty with something like a 6970 or a first release 6950 that can be flashed to a 6970?

    I was thinking of x3 of these but have now read something about the middle one has to be or have display port which i don't understand tbh?
    What cables do i need etc.

    Anyone have a x3 display for gaming that can give me some advice?

    Excellent are you still able to do a flash upgrade, I used to do that on the ole ATI 9800 Pro and X800 Pro - those were the days

    I added a Asus Direct CU II 6950 to the shop the other day, that has 4x Displayport and 2x DVI in a fairly small package that sounds quite good, but it only has 1GB

    Think the more memory the better for running x3 monitors, i have decided to keep his 22" samsung and get another x2 the same (bought 1 already so 1 more needed) was gonna get x3 20" screens.

    They make some cards like the 6950 flex that have display port enabled so no need for a monitor with just that.....also you can get an adapter for around £12 to get around this using a normal card......busy looking for a cheap 6970 at the moment.
