    Default Changing BitLocker Encryption Method - Windows 7

    By default BitLocker uses 128Bit AES with Diffuser, You can change the BitLocker encryption strength/method by going to ...

    Start menu -> Seach for Group Policy

    or

    Start menu -> Run -> gpedit.msc

    In the Group Policy Editor go to ...

    Local Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> BitLocker Drive Encryption ->

    and Choose drive encryption method

    Click Edit Policy then Enabled and chose your encryption method from the drop down menu.

    Options:
    128Bit AES with Diffuser (Default)
    256Bit AES with Diffuser
    128Bit AES
    256Bit AES
