Getting tempted to put a ASUS Z97 Sabertooth in here, I could really do with the dual LAN again.
We'll see how things go over the next couple of weeks.

Here's an article from HEXUS that outlines the new features.
The main differences from Z87 to Z97 Sabertooth is the added second LAN port, SATA Express (up to 10Gb/s) and support for the new chips.

Someone posted this........
first test of M.2 PCIe is out on the new Z97 boards, because its PCIe based and it uses 4 lanes to get it to its maximum speed, theres only 8 Lanes over for the GPU, that then because of this runs 40% slower!!! so, M.2 PCIe is still useless for a gamingrig or any other tbh! conclusion, SSD in RAID 0 beats the crap out of M.2 at the moment.
Does this make sense?

Quoted from the article...
So it doesn't affect the PCI-E for Graphics.the Z97 chipset, in sum, doesn't offer anything above the 24 present in Z87, of which 16 PCIe 3.0 are reserved for graphics stemming from the CPU.

Well that was short lived...my Corsair H100i is now dead! Well the pump anyway.
Installed on/around 17-07-2013, dead 13-09-2014, so that's not good!
I'm currently not impressed at all, I will however get another H100i in the hope it was a one off part failure.
And in the same week as one of my 1TB hard drives died too
Thank god for Acronis True Image.

I updated the fans in here yesterday, I got some of the Noctua NF-S12B REDUX 120mm for the back and side, and a Noctua NF-P14s REDUX 140mm for the front.
Having used them in my File Server build I knew they were good, they have a much smoother sound than most, I have each set at 1000rpm in Thermal Radar so I hardly notice them, I do however notice the bloody Corsair H100i fans, which are next on my upgrade list (should have done it before lol).

As per my last post, I just ordered these fans for my Corsair H100i...
2x Noctua NF-F12 IndustrialPPC 2000RPM IP67 PWM 120mm High Performance Fan
And while I was at it I got some more of these nice Akasa ProSlim SATA Cables...
4x Akasa AK-CBSA05-30BK Super slim SATA rev 3.0 data cable with securing latches - 30cm, Black
I'll post some pictures when I get them all through.

I totally forgot to post some pictures when I installed these fans. I also replaced the brown anti-vibration mounts with black ones.
These fans are superb! A vast improvement on the Corsair ones that came with the H100i.
You can also see the new ASUS Strix Soar sound card I have installed which made me think about adding an accent colour to the PCI-E cables.
Anyway, see for yourself...

So, the second GTX 770 I got died over the weekend, to be honest I hadn't realised how long I had them...since 2013!
Rather than running on one GTX 770 I decided to get a new card, just a 1060, but a good 1060. I wasn't going EVGA again so ASUS it is...
I'll post some pictures when it gets here tomorrow.
